Expressions, featuring recent paintings by local Cuban artist Carlos Ruano will explore the impact of artistic inspiration upon the process of painting and can well be described in terms of Mr. Ruano’s perceptive and subtle use of color and texture to achieve his expressive purpose. He has studied under Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, both very well-known and highly respected Mexican painters.

Expressions will run September 1 – September 30, 2010 with an opening reception being held on September 4 from 6-9pm. The WCAC Gallery is located at 14 W. Washington Street in Hagerstown, MD.
