The Washington County Arts Council will host the members of The Artists’ Gallery of Frederick, Maryland in its newest exhibit. For two decades, The Artists’ Gallery has established an important and enduring presence in the Frederick Art community, and beyond. In cooperation with the Washington County Arts Council that presence is extended to Hagerstown, Maryland with a members group show.

“Diversity” and “evolution” are two words that describe The Artists’ Gallery--diversity among members’ personal stories as well as in their chosen media and style, diversity in content and form. Over the many years of membership, there is evolution and development in the member’s work. Exploration, maturation, risk and reward and both the challenge and support of working with a group influence the journey of each artist. All this is evident in the body of work chosen by The Artists’ Gallery members to represent them at the Washington County Arts Council.

The WCAC opening reception will take place Saturday March 13th from 6-9 pm in its Gallery located at 14 W. Washington St. just before the public square in downtown Hagerstown, MD.

The Artists’ Gallery members’ show will run March 11 – April 16. Gallery Hours are Wednesday through Friday, 11am until 5pm and Saturday, 10am until 4pm.
